This section of the Lincoln County Watch website is designed to keep everyone up to speed about local and national issues and current affairs as they happen and my own opinion along with refrences to the materials involved. These are critical issues pertaining to peace and good order, the rule of law, corruption in high places and how that effects personal and public safety in the community. Please read the links below in the order given or you will lose the continuity and you won't get my perspective on these critical issues. Another purpose of these pages is to provide a record that will document when each of these pages was written for the record. That could be very important, as we all know that half of any case in court is good documentation with proper cronological order. I hope you get as much good knowledge out of these as I found going in. Make the most of it. I also hope you exercise some discretion as to who you send to these pages. They are meant for people who are somewhat grounded in law, and who believe in the supreme documents of that law, The Constitution For the United States, and the Constitution of the Sovereign State of Montana. Edwin Vieira, Jr., holds four degrees from Harvard: A.B. (Harvard College), A.M. and Ph.D. (Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences), and J.D. (Harvard Law School). For more than thirty years he has practiced law, with emphasis on constitutional issues. In the Supreme Court of the United States he successfully argued or briefed the cases leading to the landmark decisions Abood v. Detroit Board of Education, Chicago Teachers Union v. Hudson, and Communications Workers of America v. Beck, which established constitutional and statutory limitations on the uses to which labor unions, in both the private and the public sectors, may apply fees extracted from nonunion workers as a condition of their employment. He has written numerous monographs and articles in scholarly journals, and lectured throughout the county.
